Connect your iPhone to the Tappedin Tailscale Network

Install Tailscale App

Download Tailscale from the App Store on your iPhone

Open Tailscale App

After installation, open the Tailscale app on your iPhone

Configure Custom Server

Before logging in, tap "Use custom control server" or the custom server option if it appears. Use the server URL for your account domain.

Get Your Auth Key

Sign in to your client or account page to get a key, or ask your agent/admin to issue one. Do not post keys in public chat.

Log In

Tap "Log In" and paste your authentication key when prompted

Enable VPN

iOS will ask for permission to add VPN configurations. Tap "Allow" and authenticate with Face ID/Touch ID

🚪 Using Exit Node on iPhone

Open Tailscale App

Tap the Tailscale icon on your iPhone home screen

Tap "Exit Node"

In the main screen, find and tap on "Exit Node"

Select "tappedin-server"

Choose "tappedin-server" from the list of available exit nodes

Verify Connection

Your public IP should now be the server's IP address. All your internet traffic is now routed through the Tappedin server.

🛠️ Troubleshooting

Can't connect?

• Make sure you entered the correct server URL for your account domain. Walter uses https://headscale.walterharper.com; the canonical fallback is https://headscale.tappedin.fm.

• Verify your auth key is valid and not expired

• Check your internet connection

MagicDNS not working?

• Make sure "Use Tailscale DNS" is enabled in app settings

• Try toggling VPN off and on again

Exit node not showing?

• Ensure tappedin-server is online and approved as exit node

• Restart the Tailscale app
